Before installing Malwarebytes on my Windows computer, I downloaded my standard malware set. It contains approximately 1000 malicious files, including viruses trojans spyware and other malware. ). Malwarebytes detected 76% files once it had finished the Threat Scans. Malwarebytes’s detection rate increased to 95% after I ran a Custom Scans. It took me 3 hours to scan the entire device. This is a great score, but it doesn’t necessarily mean that all antivirus software, including Norton and Bitdefender, detects 100% of malware.

Malwarebytes has no ransomware protection. Malwarebytes blocked approximately two-thirds the ransomware files from the device. When I used the same simulators for Bitdefender McAfee and Norton, all ransomware simulaion was immediately blocked.

Malwarebytes ransomware prevention still needs work, but real-time protection as well as web protections rank up alongside the best antiviruses.

Malwarebytes VPN has fast speeds. It was my first speed test. I then ran another one while I was connected to a US-based server (I live in Canada). I also tested VPN’s performance connecting to distant servers.

As you can see my speed increased, but my download speeds were faster when I connected to VPN than when I was connecting directly to my local server. Then I was able to seamlessly surf the internet and watch HD video.

While I tried Malwarebytes VPN to access Netflix, it was not working.

Malwarebytes VPN is not compatible with torrenting. Malwarebytes VPN does not support torrenting.
