In order to verify this theory, I downloaded a large database containing nearly 1000 malware files.

Norton scanned my computer for malware and deleted it 100%.

After Norton’s extensive scanning, realtime protection was turned off. I tried downloading 997 malignant file in 3 formats: zip and encrypted. Norton blocked me from extracting any malicious zip files. Norton also prohibited me encrypted malicious code.

Norton’s disk scan took me 40 minutes to complete on my personal computer.

Next came speed testing using Norton VPN in a US location.

My download speed is slower but my “ping”, however, was quite high. Norton VPN enabled me streaming HD video online without any noticeable slowdown.

My upload and download speeds were both the same. However, I noticed a drop in upload speed when I connected the Dutch server.

Netflix US customers received bad news. Netflix US customers weren’t able to access Netflix US Content. It was because Norton’s VPN had blocked Netflix.

Norton VPN cannot torrent.

Norton SecureVPN runs slower than the others and doesn’t allow torrenting. It is compatible with Netflix and standaloneVPNs as well as ExpressVPN.

It doesn’t have as many features or functionality as standalone apps like 1Password/Dashlane.

Norton’s password management software may not be perfect. Norton’s password management software might not be as good as it could be.

While con artists may be unable to access your vault, some users may appreciate the lack of account recovery options. I think most people would prefer email account recuperation or other emergency contact options like LastPass.

Even though Norton’s Password Management has fewer features than other standalone solutions it still provides multidevice password protection, secure codes generation, mobile login and password auditing.

Parental Controls for Safe Families

Norton offers parental control for Android, iOS and other mobile devices.

Norton allows parents the freedom to choose:

I tested many parental control softwares and was able access violent and porn sites.

Norton blocked a few websites during my tests.

Norton Safe Family offers an School Time Mode. If you have children who are interested in virtual schools, this is a great choice.

Safe Family also used any YouTube clip or Hulu app that I had downloaded via my iPhone, Chromebook, or Chromebook.

It is amazing that Norton could pinpoint my iPhone at 65ft.

Norton GPS tracking devices do not provide geofencing. Parents can still be notified by Norton if their children live in restricted zones.

Norton Safe Family comes with many incredible features, such as YouTube monitoring, location tracking and application blocking.
