My tests showed that the System Scan took around an hour to complete on my machine. It did not impact my computer performance and was not noticeable. Kaspersky as well as many other competitors placed a significant strain on the CPU while I was performing system scans.

The Startup Manager allows to you select which applications will automatically open when your computer is on. Windows does have an identical feature and similar interface, but it is hidden deep in Control Panel. TotalAV places this feature conveniently, is intuitive, easy-to use, and works exactly as intended.

TotalAV’s Application Uninstaller function will help to free up disk space and uninstall obsolete software.

Windows’ operating software allows users to delete certain applications. Windows’ Add or Remove Programs feature isn’t my favorite. TotalAV makes it very easy to remove multiple apps by allowing you access to your programs and letting you uninstall them.

The Browser Cleanup Utility helps you keep your internet activity private. TotalAV will allow you to remove all cookies from your browser.

TotalAV’s duplicate file Finder will locate and delete duplicate files. This function does not support the standard Disk Cleanup feature in Windows.

Junk Cleaner will also remove junk files from your computer after you have removed or updated an application. Junk Cleaner can clean up any junk files left over from updating or removing an app.

TotalAV’s tuning features for system tuning aren’t too innovative. They’re all great to use, easy to find, and I love the fact that they are all located in one place on my PC.

TotalAV’s Password Vault allows for simple password management. TotalAV was capable to generate complex passwords and store them in my vault. I also had the option to auto-fill existing logins. TotalAV’s password manager is not perfect, but that is something I can take. But, it doesn’t offer a mobile app.

Let me tell you why this is important. I use my password management software to manage all of these things. All passwords, including those for social media accounts and financial apps as well logins for Slack/Asana/Streaming Services and Slack/Asana in work, have been saved to my Password Manager. I use my phone a lot to surf the internet. My password manager stores all my complex and unique passwords. My password-protected sites are not accessible if I don’t have access from my smartphone to my password management.

TotalAV’s Password Vault feature is a good option, even if it’s not necessary. These password managers will work well if an Android or iOS app is not available.

To open a different window, click on “Padlock” icon. The Password Vault browser extensions automatically fills the password field with one click.
